youtube has and will always be a HUUUGUEEEEE part of the growth longboarding. most longboarders i know got started after they saw a longboard vid on youtube.
so we should be very grateful for the things it has done for the growth of our sport.

i can see how it may be a concern of production companies like Colabo, OrangeFist and the like, but for the general "uploader" it doesn't really matter.

also, if you can avoid it, don't post you skating in illegal places, as i have found out....... like on marked roads or ones with a speed limit more then 50km/h etc. It could come back to haunt you...., its a bit obvious i know

Yea I was thinking of Jacko actually when I read this because he is selling his DVD through Hopkin and I think a lot of those clips are on Vimeo and You tube. Like you said Leigh people like Colabo and Orangefiist could have dramas later on too.

I remember back when that news story was done on Willunga and some people suggested taking the front that the news station didn't ask for permission to use our videos. I suppose this is our answer, so long as they cleared it with the web site they are fine.
