expressions of interest... newcastle race meeting...
looking to see about organising a race meeting in the newcastle area... sydney has been done twice now, it's time for a race somewhere new and since i am back in my old home town now i want to set up a race day... i have a few hills in mind and am investtigating council permissions and such... also race format.... double elimination worked last time but how do we feel about four man races with a points system... keep everyone riding all day... looking for expressions of interest at this stage. cheers... rick out...

as ive said for many of these discusios mate that if you get any sort of race organised than i know everyone will fly from around the country to attend...the early crew would be there.

at this stage the hill i have in mind is onnly a 700m stretch on a fairly steep slope, havent had a chance for a test ride but that will come soon... it's going to be fast... very fast... (i think anyway, i'm still getting the hang of this standup thing... it will most likely be a luge, buttboard, standup thing with maybe a slalom if time permitts, i am still in research phase... but... well, a race is a race... closed road... legit...

if its a straight hill maybe slalom would be better for spectators/riders...
any maybe a freestyle slide comp

the hilll has some corners which i think have the potential to bite... there is a straight section but i think that it's not exactly a slalom sort of hill, testing tomorrow if it doesnt rain. to anyone who is familiar wit the hill, it's similar to the top sectioon of smr down near woolongong... i'll take the camera and post the vid on youtube.
