Good question. Botanic Gardens will get you a fine from the rangers - they're nasty there.
If you're willing to travel out west, the M7 cycleway gives you some seriously long kilometres. Anywhere else?
Permalink Reply by Chris on April 11, 2012 at 19:25 Thanks alot for the suggestion, unfortunately M7 is way too far out. So dont even try to skate at botanical gardens? i c... thx
Permalink Reply by happykid55 on April 11, 2012 at 19:46 There is a iphone app that say skate spots, i don't have it my mate does and we haven't checked any of the spots out but it seems legit.
are you after LDpush? or LDpump? i use a bike path in ryde that goes roughly 5kms 1 way..a good part flats, and some ups and downs..this track is good for pushing..you could pump the flats though if that's your thing but my setup is for pushing..another is lansdowne park cycleway towards villawood suburb..i'm not quite sure of the address..its a 1 way cycleway circuit of decent length, maybe 15-20mins to do a full circuit on a longboard..mostly flat and slight gradual ups and downs with 1 decent downhill part of roughly 500-600metres..across lansdowne park is also a good park for pushing..or maybe pumping..

Also, centennial is good in terms of distance, but the pavement is just average. Looking for spots around near bondi.

"Average" is being far too kind. Cpark has the worst surface in the Eastern Suburbs.
Plenty of bike paths around the CBD and out East now thanks to Clover Moore. Given them a try? Be warned, though, the cyclists can be pretty facist. I know people who've copped an elbow to the face just for skating on the paths.
Bay Run is probably worth a shot too:

You're going to have to leave the East some time if you're serious about looking for good LDP spots.

Permalink Reply by Chris on April 12, 2012 at 12:13 Thanks for all the suggestions, but it all seems too far away, i dont like going through the trouble of getting to a place, i just like pumping :)
I checked on google maps, what do you guys think about this, someone said botanical gardens you will get ticketed by rangers, so does that mean no longboarding allowed?
This seems like the BEST possible views and its long enough for LDP, just going back and forth will do the trick.
BTW- im planning to goto the 6:30 railway tonight, I assume its mostly city skating in a large group (safety in numbers). That sounds cool.
