ASRA - Australian Skateboard Racing Association

Just found this old thread on charliedontskate from 2006 where a few of us discussed how to start an association, what to call it, how to run it etc. And that's how ASRA was born.

If you're interested in the history, check it out.

Who can Forget, way back in the day...when we were all still riding Skateboards!

Interesting to re-read the SbA-Skate Australia stuff and see how little has changed today.....

Also worth reading is the story of something else that was germinated on Charlie!

Bathurst!

And who can forget Giant Slalom on ConRad straight!

That GS would have been rad! SbA don't get back to anyone either.  They don't give a shit about downhill or longboards, rather fund the stuff they are used to.  Not very good considering they get all the money from the government...

Just read it all, interesting read! And THANK YOU for going ahead with it all.  Wouldn't know what I would do without ASRA!

Brilliant work guys.
