Event Description

The Kaikoura Longboard Festival is coming at you hot and juicy for 2018!

The hill has survived another year of aftershocks and is ready for action yet again. We’ll be bringing you classic 4 man, neck and neck racing across Opens, Woman’s and Juniors divisions with a freeride and slide jam to boot! For the uninitiated the KLF track features multiple sweeping turns, one right hand hairpin and top speeds upwards of 80kmhr down a WHOPPING 25% grade straightaway.

If that isn’t enough to get the froth flowing and blood pumping the track is host to one of the most scenic backdrops in the country, so get those Instagram skills pried up!

The team is well underway prepping for the event now so mark the weekend of Jan 20th 2018 in your calendars and keep your eyes glued to the event page for updates on registration, sponsors and everything KLF2018!

... hope I am not being a pest.   Getting down from Christchurch (Sydney to Christchurch Airport) - is it likely anyone will be 'passing through' on the Friday or the Saturday (is the Friday a 'free-ride' day)?    Are busses running?

Registration is live now here https://www.kaikouralongboardfestival.com/our-juice/. There is plenty of run out at the bottom of the track and it is wide.

... will keep a weather eye for Registration.  Is there plenty of 'run-out' at the bottom of the runs?
