***THIS RUN IS AN INTERMEDIATE SKILL LEVEL. IF YOU ARE NOT COMFORTABLE WITH SPEEDS UP TO 60KM/H DO NOT RACE***
All members of WAR are invited to come along for a rad day of racing, drafting and slamming. The track is a new run with an average speed of 50-60km/h, which has super smooth road, a few turns and straights, and a tight right hand sweeper which is hit at 65km/h tops. The track is around an intermediate difficulty, so if you're not comfortable on zigs we don't reccomend racing.
There will be two divisions, groms and non-groms, with groms being defined as 15 years old or younger.
Our aim is to have two 24 man trees, one for each division, with a $10 buy in for all competitiors. The race is IGSA rules, so no bump drafting, training, pushing or pulling unless absoutely necessary. Helmets (Fullfaces reccomended), kneepads and gloves are a must.
If you don't want to race but are available to help out please let me know, as we'll need marshalls, starters, place-keepers and spotters. Also if you have walkie talkies we could borrow for the marshalls and spotters, please let me know.
The general plan for the day is below:
~10.30-11am, rider's registration (first in best dressed, only 24 spots available in each division).
~11-11.10am, riders meeting.
~11.10-12pm, practice.
~12pm onwards, racing.
