Event Description

The Mount Ruapehu GravitySports Free Ride will take place in early March 2014. Exact dates are still being worked out, but will definitely be between Mar 3rd and Mar 8th. This is a straight up free ride event on 5.3kms of NZ's finest asphalt and the first ever gravity event held on a world heritage site.

Full Face and glove manditory.

Speeds of 70-90+kph.

As more info is available the event will be updated, this is just a heads up.

Expect to pay upwards of $130NZD/day for the priviledge, but keep in mind we are trying to work catering into the mix so meals will be included.

Comment by speedy canuck on January 19, 2014 at 13:32: Update, rego will open this week and details will be available here first with regards to costs and signing up. At the moment it will be strictly wheelie boards on the hill all day fri and half of sat. Half way through sat the drift trikes will be added to the mix and sun will be dedicated strictly to drift trikes.

We hope that this event will lead to a freeride & IDF event in 2015 so you attendance this year will help to bolster our position for the future and leave the trikers to their own event and more runs for wheelie boarders.
