The event will be at Lakeside Park Raceway, which has a intermediate downhill course (with corners, several infact), and several straights we will use for slalom and freeride competition events.

Calvin, looks like you are on a winner here, well done.

Now all we need is slalom racing.

Calvin,

That is great news.  Please make sure that you get the next event up on ASRA at least one month before the event to make the competition eligible for ASRA ranking points.  Having points will make sure that you get good attendance, and you can ask for a bit more in rego fees to really make a difference for people like Seb.  Also the fact that you have a legit off-road event entitles the event to the highest level of ranking points.

You can take advantage of the ASRA registration system, which will drop the rego fees into your paypal account, which is so much better than "likes".

If Brad & Steve attend they will be able to show you slalom, and fill you in on how ASRA can help with your events.

By the way, what facebook group did you use to promote the event, and can you tell them about ASRA?

Have a great day, and please post up some photos, and tell us how much you raised.

Good luck with the event & the fund raising Calvin.

I let a few mates know about it up there, hopefully Brad Sterritt & Steve Daddow make it along.

Hey Bernie, sorry for not replying soon. we have 125 confirmed people coming via facebook, expect the number to be around 100 (due to facebook, being facebook). it's a double event for both freeride and downhill. it's going to be a sick day for everyone. so come on down (or up).

This is a good cause, and $5 is waaaay too cheap
ASRA members should be able to scrape $10 or even $20 to help Seb, and to show support for Calvin, and respect to the Raceway!

From theboardmeeting.org

"If you are into longboard skateboarding this event will be a great day to attend. So cool that Queensland Raceway offered their Lakeside track for the comp as it safer environment than a street event. At only $5 to enter it's a steal. Pit Lane Cafe will be open for food & drinks and plenty of onsite parking.
All proceeds going to help buy a new wheelchair for young Seb Rawlinson."

Calvin, do you have any idea of numbers yet?

Calvin

Well done on getting such a great location for your event.

How did you manage that because the rest of the country can learn form you!
