We are bringing back the original 'Grom-Bomb' event, but seeing as there are so many grom shredders these days we need to let some of the newbies pick up the pace. It will be at the same place we had the Grom Bomb Splashdown (click link for write-up/video).
This is a race for all the new-comers and beginners to downhill skateboarding that are looking at getting into events but want to start out easy. The race will be on a mellow bike path with smooth pavement, very mellow grade and speeds of around 40-50km/h. There is a run-out at the bottom however there is one right hand corner that you will need to slow down for, but it is a very mellow turn.

I am definitely going but I don't know if I should race on my tan tien which is my only board
if its your first race then thats good, it will be the first race for most people coming
dude try your best its for people who have not raced before, just ask someone like jacko..for advice he should help you out
Rain is fun guys!!! dont be afraid is chill track :)
last one was run in the pouring rain. the event will be on rain or shine. the hill is very chilled, and can be easily skated in the rain. bring spare clothes because if its wet you will get dirty and muddy!
i wouldnt want it to count for the junior rankings. those who are interesting in earning points for those rankings are not 'newbies' anymore and even though might still be quite fresh in terms of racing they are no longer at the beginner's level.
This is the event designed for those who are not interested in their ranking, have little to no racing experience and are just generally new to the whole downhill skateboarding thing. Please do not show up just to be alpha grom and boss a whole bunch of kids who are very new, just to be cool and win a race.
big man is this race going on junior rankings?
