    been skating long?
  • Joe

Oh really mate, any board is good to start off with. yeah we skate alex a bit and around the coast, if we do do fast runs its up at buderim. a slalom board would be sick, i have a few boards but all mainly dh board landy dropspeed, landy drop wedge and a glyde board
  • Joe

Yeah man i reckon so much study to do i'm in grade 11 what about you?
indeed a dropspeed best board aye, my gylde is the best dh board i could of got ,there Australian made if you have seen some of the post around. A guy i skate with Ash makes them with Pete hill off here. they could make you a sick dh board or what ever if you every did end up looking for a dh board.
  • Joe

Yeah true that i'm glad i work night in an rsl so i can skate all day.
yeah i got ya support the Autralian skate buisness thats the way.
Man i will actually see aye because i'm going to probs buy another glyde deck off leeso when i skate this weekend at the goldy.
so i might think about selling one of them i have four board except one is a layback board from the boardstore.
i would probley sell my drop wedge first.
  • Joe

Hahah far enough yeah man well if i do end up deciding to sell it i will let you know.
Have you tried the maroochydore rsl carpark near cotton tree, it goes alright just a pretty big bump at the end.
  • Joe

Thats all good you have to start some where.
and glade you have a helmet, next this is make some slide gloves up.
build up some confidence and you'll be good for all the garages. then you can come down to the city with us when we do a carpark sesh there the best fun.
have you done the hill in alex, where the convenience store is on the conrer. thats a pretty fun hill. one of the main ones.

  • Brad NS

This is how much wedging im running on the board for slalom . enjoy the new board mate !!
  • Brad NS

it makes the board stear more in the front, helping generate speed easier !! come to a slalom event one day and you will see what i mean ?
  • dave k

thow some softer bushes in the front truck
  • dave k

the standard bushes are hard , don't know what duro thou .
    get a couple of duro's to play with ! ( med / soft )
  • dave k

flip the top washer on both trucks , you will have to measure the bushes or go int a shop to compare .
  • Joe

Hey mate, Yeah i was on the Glyde board. And the other board Steve was on was a custom board from (sakamoto) were you meaning a loaded dervish or something whats a loaded 180?
  • Joe

Yeah i done the little standup slide at the end of the run. Hmm hahah um well just say there is worse thing you could do and that its legal if theres no lines on the road you were skating haha.
  • Matt 'Manchild' Ryan

  • Matthew Pascoe

I stay at Moolooloaba for the last 4 weeks of every christmas holidays. I will have some of my longboarding mates staying there with me this year.
Wat do u say we meet up and u and ur mates can show us wat hills alex has to offer?
  • Isaac

Hey, don't forget about the CarveBoard Wave which you wanted to buy off me in early December.
    Thanks!
  • Isaac

Hey, it's December now, and I'm just wondering where your up to with getting those funds for the board?
  • Isaac

    Thanks for the transaction!
  • Isaac

Hey, I got it straight from the original site...
for quite a outrageous price, mainly from their stupid shipping at the time.

But you/your mate don't need to do that, I'm not really too fond of it. (I think I've grown off carving boards)
Anyway I wouldn't mind selling it, for a decent price though cos' it's all in good nick, and now thinking about it, it hasn't done much road time at all!
  • Isaac

My original malakai is their on the right.
    70mm 78A Red Zigz
Cell Swiss bearings (modus bearing spacers)
S8 / 200mm trucks with black (soft) springs
  • Isaac

Narh the new s9 is on layby, it should be sold within next month.
And not interested in my malakai? :(
  • Isaac

Around the $300 mark would be nice, It's hardly used...and was 450+ when I bought it.
  • Nath Aveyard

    hey mate
Don't have any black ones only have randal 180's with 42' baseplates in standard metal finish. Selling them for $70 plus postage, which would roughly be $10 anywhere on the east coast.
  • Gabriel munnoch

sup man, whats ur drop wedge like? i've got a board pretty much the same but it ain't a ly, how u finding it?
  • Gabriel munnoch

dude my board is pretty standard, not the best quality, looks exactly the same as a drop wedge, the concave isn't as big though, its got more flex than i would like, but it rides pretty sweet, holds up surprisingly well on hills and i like it, so thats the main thing...

but i'm getting a ly switch this week with 852 bears and purp durians so that'll be pretty sweet...
  • Gabriel munnoch

dude i just saw a vault fish in one of ur photo's... i got my board(shitty drop wedge) from the same website... www.skateboardexpress.com.au, if u wanna have a look at it...
  • Ilan Aarons

hey man the hawgs are sweet they are heaps grippy and you can pull some solid slides wenever you want the only thing that happend with mine is that they wen t like yellow but would still recommend them
