ASRA - Australian Skateboard Racing Association

The future of international downhill skateboarding, the IDF, has just launched their website. It's here: http://www.internationaldownhillfederation.org/

And it looks a little like this:

Check out the list of races they've got for 2013.

More on the IDF: the ever-present Hop of Hopkin Skate has written a lengthy post about the launch of the IDF website. It's here: http://www.hopkin.com.au/blog/2012/11/26/idf-is-the-future-it-will-...

Hey I noticed that you have to pay $30 for membership to join and race in events such as Kierra and NN. Does this mean that to race these events we have be a member of both organisations?

I don't mind paying the money for both organisations, I understand that they certainly require support from members and sponsors, just am curious.

Cheers guys, looks good.

Yes, you'll have to be a member of ASRA to race in ASRA races, and a member of the IDF to race in IDF races, and if a race is both ASRA and IDF then you'll have to be a member of both.

It's a small amount in the general scheme of getting yourself to an event, and in the case of the IDF means that the sanctioning fee paid by event organisers will be much less than before, which will potentially flow through to riders.
