Event Description

It was soo fun and casual last time, lets do it again.

Same place, same format, same cash prizes for every round.

It will be a fresh course with some other little challenges on the day.

Finish early and jam out in the skatepark and the snakerun.

When: 5th August - 10am start

Where: Dulwich Hill Snakerun

What: Shakedown Jam format

Round 1
Everybody does four runs, and are then ranked in order of their average time. The top 3 riders in the round wins $ (depending on numbers, last time was: 1st $30 / 2nd $20 / 3rd $10). The slower portion of the riders are eliminated. The rest progress to Round 2.

Round 2
Exactly the same as Round 1. Your times from the previous round do not carry into this round - you start fresh. Top 3 riders again win $.

Round 3
Exactly the same as Round 2.

Final
The fastest two riders from Round 3 go into the final shakedown round. Two runs each, fastest run wins.

Note: If you hit a cone, or fail to finish the course, it is a DQ. DQ = your slowest time + 1.5 seconds.

Bonus Rounds:

Longest Grind on the weird offset snakerun rail - winner gets a set of trucks

Biggest Air anywhere in the snakerun - winner gets a deck

Catch - both longest grind and biggest air must be done on the same board used to compete in the shakedown.

Entry: $20 on the day

Went for a recon skate today to Lidcombe, North Rocks and Baulkham Hills snake runs for the next Shakedown. Baulkham his was probably the best, but still only half as good as Dulwich. They are all kinda short, fast and with no ending bowl, you just get spat out at speed into the grass.... Might have to continue the Shakedown at Dulwich

There's also St Marys and St Andrews.  Haven't been to the St Marys one, but about a month ago took a treck to St Andrews, and I 'think' it's been covered over ?  Went to the location and couldn't find it. :-/

There is another smallish one at Baulkham Hills i've always wanted to check out. Looks like it would be easy to install a start ramp too.

Yeah clint i have skated it before.
it's cool but upside down... the run-in flat bit is at the bottom of the hill and the little end bowl bit is at the top of the hill.. for timed bank slalom purposes it might work tho...

Trav, regards "finding another snakerun"
Have you checked out Lidcombe before ? Situated in the park Cnr Olypmic Drive & Church Rd, and about 300 metres from the station.
It's not as long as dullo, but it's steep, fast, tight winding, and slingshots you from one turn to the next.
A bit tricky at first, but a blast when you feel it out.
No crowds, like nobody at all. As it's just a snake-run, with no adjuct skate-park.
Guessing you've prob seen it, but if not, it's worth checking.

thanks for coming up Bernie and having a crack. Thanks to Evie and Astrid working the timing and everyone that turned up for a roll.
Thanks to Hopkin for the prizes now mostly possessed by PC the machine cleaning up biggest air and biggest grind - Caspian good job trying to match the biggest air.
Hagman good to see you back in the country and skating. BMB Ross still ripping with a ruptured ACL, making the rest of us look like little girls.

Good to see the micro groms come out and have a roll also. Will have to find a new snakerun and throw another down.

So good to catch up with everyone.
Good to see NSW is wiggling again.
The new race format works well.
Eventhough i had trouble getting the course wired, that is a Classic snake run, with a great vibe.
