There are a few local bands playing in a local PCYC at what they call "Untitled" these happen each month and are well received. Drop Ben a PM as he is particulaly well informed on these.

Now for those of you thinking, What can i do in townsville to pass the time?

1. Townsville has 2 skate parks. One is at the Murray sporting complex, The other is at the Riverway Stadium Complex. Both are just as good.

2. You can hang out at the strand(beach), go for a skate up and down it, a few little cafes and one big pub are situated down there so plenty of ways to chill out and kick back.

3. If you are interested in a Long Distance Push, Starting from cre8ive sk8, Head towards the river (ado can point you in the right direction) and once you get to the river go which ever way you want. Townsville has 5 pedestrian bridges across the river at spread out up and down it, so you can either have a short skate along the river or a 30km+ around the river. Both sides of the river is lined with good skatable track.

4. If you're chasing a drink or feed, you can try Palmer Street in the city, it has some fantastic restuarants and tapas bars. Alternatively you can try Flinders Street East if you chasing a late night drink, a dance, and a chance.

5. You can head up Castle hill to check out the view townsville city and over look magnetic island.

6. You can jump on a ferry, catch a bus or take your board, and skate around magnetic island. The island is a place where you can go an chill, maybe pull up a seat at one of its fantastic little cafes or bars and grab a refreshing drink to keep you going, until you get back to the ferry to take you back to townsville.
If you've got a day or two to kill, you'll definately find something to do in townsville.

Enjoy!

Not long to go now!

Just letting you guys and girls, that haven't been to townsville before, there is a mud map on the BTB website. It should be enough to get you around town if you don't have a gps. It's a pdf, so you can enlarge it to any size you want to be able to read it.

See you all soon!

Don't forget Rego and Tech is from 10am to 6pm on Friday, 13th May at Cre8ive Sk8. This means if a whole bunch of you turn up at 6, you'll have to wait till saturday for tech, Which means less riding for you. So get in early and beat the queue.

The Riders Meeting is also at Cre8ive Sk8 at 6.30pm on the friday.
