Event Description

Its happening again; Jack's Attack Downhill Challenge 2014!

What is it?

ONLY WA's LEGAL AND FULLY INSURED DOWNHILL SKATEBOARDING RACE!

If you missed out on the previous two years, make sure you don't miss out this year! Racing at Jacks Attack will not only give you the experience that will help you compete in IDF races around the world, It will allow you to meet new people from all around Australia and be apart of some massive stoke.

Up to 96 riders over OPEN's and JUNIOR division will complete on the infamous Jacks Hill Climb track at Barbagallo Raceway. The event is open and free to the public so bring your friends and family along for a great day of skateboard racing. Food and drink will be available all day on the track.

When is it?

It is an all day event on Saturday, November 22nd starting at 9am and wrapping up around 5pm.

Requirements

To compete at Jacks Attack you will need the following:

  • A FULL FACE HELMET
  • GLOVES & KNEE PADS

***Leathers are optional but recommended***

For the safety of yourself and others, helmets and boards will go through tech inspection.

Cost

OPENS & JUNIORS - $70.00 each.

(Juniors is 16 and under)

You can choose to enter both events (age allowing) but will have to register twice.Registration begins 6pm EST on the 24th of October, and strictly ends on the 5th of November. Get you rego in and prepare yourself for one of the maddest weekends!

Hi Cheyne,

There should be heaps of free ride runs in the morning to get yourself used to the track. The last corner can be pretty tricky but there isn't any need to slide, just grip and rip. Also, the first few races are just heats for points so plenty of race experience as well. You should be all g...if not the hay bails will catch you.

How does the day pan out? Like if you compete do you get a few dry runs in first? Thinking I love to go in this but that last corner is pretty hectos... :)      

Any sage advice for a first timer?

Hi Finlay, some of the guys have been away in the Americas hence the delay in rego. I've heard they're back in town, it will be up asap man. I'm working on it!

Tylah,  is there any chance of making room for some slalom racing???
All they need is about 200metres of tarmac, out of the way of the main event.
