Event Description

Its happening again Jacks Attack Downhill Challenge 2013!
What is it?
WA's ONLY LEGAL AND INSURED DOWNHILL SKATEBOARDING RACE!

The Track!
We are using another section at the top of the track this year which will mean a chicane with a Left - Right into the straight. We are also moving the finish line by a few metres and more hay bails define the finish line better.

Juniors are 16 AND UNDER.

Registration:

Saturday DH Race: $70

If you wish to Race in Juniors and Opens it will cost you double and it will be entirely at your own risk to be at the line for your next heat. If you miss a heat it is your own fault.

Rego will be thru ASRA and PayPal only again.

Once rego is paid there will be no refunds for any reason, you use it or you lose it.

Race Format:
At this stage we are wanting to have a race for 48 Juniors, 48 Open and hopefully a 16 Womens and 16 Masters. A race format will be decided on soon. As last year we promise as many runs as you can possibly get thru heats and freeride runs.

Safety:

Fullface Helmet, Gloves and knee pads. Leathers are optional but recommend as it is a racing environment and shit does get hectic. There will be a small Tech inspection like last year, make sure your gear is in a good safe condition.

Prizes:

We are stoked to announce we will be offering CASH PRIZES for Juniors and Opens.

Open

1st $400

2nd $250

3rd $150

1st $200

2nd $125

3rd $75

Spono's:

Hey, Are we able to camp alongside the track for the Friday & Saturday night. I'm flying in from Vic so that would be easiest.

Sunday 24th CLOSED ROAD SLIDE JAM & SLALOM IS OFFICIALLY CANCELLED!

I am absolutely gutted to have to announce this. But there is no possible way we can run this event any cheaper.

The road closure costs $3000 the Insurance costs $500 and the Ambulance costs $500 thats $4000 running costs with out even buying food for a BBQ and drinks and other supplies. Thats 100 people at $40 each.

This was to be WA's first ever closed road jam. Its own scene could not support it. it is highly unlikely there will ever be another. We tried our best to encourage people to support their own scene and come and get stoked.

The DH Race rego is still open and will remain open until it fills out.

All refunds will be made through PayPal. Please be patient as i have to carefully sift thru all the names and issue the refunds correctly.

at this stage there is no Masters and Womens. only 2 Women and 4 Masters entered. They have been moved into Opens. Juniors and Opens brackets will be separate but heats will be inter weaved so there isn't much waiting around between heats.

Come to think about it, you can have a fun slalom race on about 150 metres!

Your right, Bernie.

I think the top of the old track is a bit short and then it hits the S bend and the ambo will be parked in there this year. also only 4 people have entered the Slalom so far and 3 of those 4 are skating in the Open DH which would be on at the same time.
