Event Description

That dates are booked, the ramps are being made, lines of red and blue tape have been cut, weaved, ducked and signed..... all fusing together and making the worlds biggest boarderX race series ever attempted.

When:

Sydney - 26th October

Newcastle - 2nd & 3rd Nov

Brisbane (CBD) - 10th Nov

Melbourne (St Kilda) - 16th Nov

specific address to come

What:

After a long deliberation and considering the many, many factors of different locations, slope angle and length, the final course has been set and is being built as we speak (watch this space for build updates and images).

It is built for 4 man heats starting from a shipping container height start ramp into the many different forms the ramps, berms and jumps can be adjusted to suit the specific location. The one thing they all have in common though, is their sheer size. This course isn't for anyone not comfortable getting loads of airtime.

Who:

Who can race? anyone who is capable and willing.

Racing spots are limited for each location, so if you think you have what it takes to race against all sorts of skating backgrounds, then come along.

Racing:

Entry is free.

4 man heats

Prizes tba

What else?

Competing in all 4 races is not required, but there will be an overall series champion. Those that can commit to the 4 races will be looked upon more favourably during rider selection.

There will also be winners at each location.

Type of boards allowed, will be anything you want to ride. Fortune will favour good transition pumping in this first series but riding 99a wheels won't be the fastest idea.

Whats the course look like? After most people failing to grasp the scale of this course, we will be posting build photos as the ramps are built... with someone on / next to it so the gnarliness can truly sink in. Each location, the course layout will be different.

This won't be some sketchy plywood 3ft flat bank setup you've seen in past boarderX attempts. It is a seriously large undertaking that ASRA, Tom Thumb and various partners are pulling together to take the next evolutionary step in skateboarding.

Download the waiver form read and sign. Bring it to the event – NO WAIVER NO PLAY

no doubt asra know what they are doing trav, they are the best in the world for raceing and formats, i was talking about a bunch of kooks/riders that dont know the format from a bar of soap, that could be a hassle. shit to be honest we dont know the format. any run down for the day? 4 man single elim 32 man tree. or some mad new shit from bugs.

is there a riders list on the go?

when/where is the practice day?

We are pitching to street / tranny skaters because the longboard / racing world is already sold on the idea and will turn up. The aim is to cross pollinate across ALL genres of skating.

pretty sure ASRA knows what they're doing when it comes to running race formats, hey.

nice one bernie, yeah saw some stats on the traffic flow of the websites, asra has a lot to fb over the last 2 years, its funny ive never heard of hateboard before,,, looks shit really, like silverfish.

yeah i agree we are all skateboarders, but this is racing, not lonboarding. boards make no different to me, trash em all. i hope we get all types riders showing up at the events, but imagine organizing 20+ first time rider/racers on the run in a strange setting in front of a lot of people, in a time frame. could be hectic. hope it all go's smooth. 32man round can roll quick if your lucky.

riders have planned and booked tickets from canada and north america ready to rip up the series, with more working on it, words out its gonna be rad.

BoarderX is going to be bigger than just longboarding.
Sharing it with the twigg flippers will be rewarded with respect.
Besides we are all skateboarders...aren't we!

It will also make the Official National Sporting Organisation take notice, because you know they really do look after ALL skateboarders...don't they!

Talk about leaving the longboarding community high and dry,
Your bigger problem is having all the info migrating to facebook.

The Hype starts now!

We all have to pitch in behind these guys to make it a sucess....and incase you did not already know, skateboard.com.au has the highest traffic of any of the Aussie skateboarding sites, so it makes sense to tell the story there also.

Here is the hateboard link

ENJOY!

more info on skateboard.gaycunts.com ,,

,why is there a forum on skateboard.com trying to convince trick skaters to come race when they have no idea how to race or have any interest in it, while there is no new updates on this forum where people actually need the info and give ashit.

yeah we need riders but leaving the longboard community high and dry with deets, updates and encouragement isnt gonna put riders on the day at the start line.

this is ASRA, this association got the grant to put the event on, these are the people that want to race and are interested in it.

fuck skateboarders this is racing cunts.
