ASRA - Australian Skateboard Racing Association

Hi All

ASRA's secretary and all-around champion dude Colin "Bugs" Beck is currently in hospital after having open-heart surgery yesterday afternoon.  He had to replace a faulty aortic valve.

Bugs does a lot of behind-the-scenes work at ASRA, maintaining the rankings and designing all the race formats and whiz-bang excel spreadsheets.  He also sets some mean slalom courses and drinks his coffee one way - black!

If you are a friend of Colin's please consider a visit over the coming days, I'm sure he would appreciate it.  Or if you would like to send a postcard or motivational pictures of yourself skating, the address is below:

Geez Bugs, another blow to the sternum! Get well soon mate!

get well Colin,

what a shock -  you don't mess about -

angiogram was enough for me

rest up

boyd

Nice work folks - keep the good cheer coming.

I visited Bugs earlier this evening and he is ok but pretty pooped.  The op went well tho and the doctors are happy.  Now it's just a long recovery time, even longer than when he cracked his sternum in Canberra a few years ago, ha!  But we're hoping (and praying...!) he'll be back in action in time for Keira and Newton's.

He's replaced his aortic valve with a cow's so give him a big "Moo" the next time you see him.

In for a valve job, just like K Rudd!

St V's is one of the best places in the world for that.

do it easy Colin.
