Cam i dont reckon it will be toooo gnar, theres a 5-6year old bracket

Just spoke with Viv.

She is waiting on schedule from organisers, but it looks like there will be a couple of 50 minute slots. There should also be an OK run-off area in either a car-park or a round-about.

We are thinking that because of the limited time to set-up & pack-up between billy cart heats, that we should run either an untimed head to head, (zero or max 5 cone count for DNF) grand-slam format, in age divisions, or a single lane timed event.

age divs under15, under18, open.

It needs to something quick & easy, and entertaining for both racers and spectators....(Hectic sounds about right!)  We wont have much time to set a course either, so when we drop the cones first we should try to keep it simple.

The local kids are on long boards so the course will not need to be too tight, but we can work out what they are up for on the day.

Again because of fitting in with billy-carts start will be by push, instead of ramp.

All that means we will need as many cones as we can get, and plenty of helpers to drop the cones out, and pick them up, and marshall the racers, many of who will be first timers.  We will also have help from the billy cart race marshalls, specially to clear the run-out areas.

Wayne, can you bring some crayons?

The other thing is that the key dude in the shire, as far as events for YOUF will be there, and will be a good opportunity to get you fast guys in his face to talk about having a proper event on one of the local hills!

This is great oppotunity to showcase ASRA to a wider audience!

Thanks for getting behind this on short notice!
