Jana,
You can start a new group.
Contact Lea Robbo for some ideas to get it started.
Her Art-skate sessions are a great idea. Or a roll and a picnic in Fawkner park could work for you.
The skate shops will want to help you to promote it.
Also we can get info posted on the VSA website, charliedontskate and hateboard.com.au.
It wil be just what Melbourne skating needs!

so that thanks was from me not evan haha

anyway thanks again for your ideas

Hi Jana

I'm not a girl, but I'm exploring carveboards and freebords and I'm thinking they might be something a lot of girls might dig.

I'm coming from a love of surfing and snowboarding

I'm just exploring ways to enjoy skateboarding with minimal danger and maximum fun

Anyway I'm am interested in finding out what style of skating girls are into ?

As I think that a lot more girls would get into it as long as it had some cool factor kind of thing and good fun with each other

I imagine most girls won,t really care what style it is,they just wanna have fun. thats why I think the carve boards and freebords may offer more fun for more girls .

what is an art skate session?

anyway let me know your thoughts

Steve

thanks for posting that link to the film. I am very impressed and totally inspired

Hey I am looking at getting into longboarding, hit me up if you've found a crew I can't seem to find any :/

Alex,

Viv at simplyskateboarding.com.au  is  putting a girl group together, and will help you.

Although She is great fun to skate bowls with, she is slowly getting into long boards.

Talk to her about an idea we talked about for a city art-skate.

It would be really great if you could help her get started.

We can also help with promoting a new group via www.skateboardingvictoria.org.au

You can also join the Melbourne Longboarders and Old School Skaters facebook group.

yes there are boys there, but they will be nice (or else), and will help you with starting a group, and their Sunday night city sessions are always fun.

Hi Bernie, what's the best way to get in contact with Viv? Thanks :)
