The cops are a bit ratty with me but Iv found a good spot 15mins south of Queenstown it climbs mt Dukes ( or Jukes) u can skate either direction the roads in good nick, one is 3km lots of breaking could exceed 100kmhr but killer guard rails at the bottom is Grotty Dam, the other is 6 to7km long good run off 100kmhr max ends at the King river ..... the entier road system is classed as private, signage says use at own risk! thou its government owned. Cops leave me alone out there, they even pick me up if im hitching. If ur out this way drop in.
