did you shorten the height of where the king pin comes out?
If you put a tall barrel in there such as a reflex the truck angle will be at an awkward angle.
Look it up on silverfish, there is a tutorial on how to do it. It will put the truck back at the standard angle, and allow for the taller bushes.

other option, probably a better one, is to trim down the size of the bushes to a similar height of a khiro barrel.

Two khiro barrels won't fit on a stock Indy kingpin.

No,
The baseplate "captures/hide" app 15mm,original kingpin protrudes app 35mm, all up 50mm long.
I took that out and replaced it with a 2 1/2" 64mm g8 hex head bolt, bedded in Pratley's Putty.

I know two khiro barrels won't fit on a stock indy kingpin, i didn't say they did.

Bear - let me know if you truck looks over tilted when you put them on. I think you'll find the truck will be at a higher angler, making the truck act differently.
Some modders shave down the height of the baseplace to allow for the extra height of the taller new bushings, because the taller bushings put the axel at a awkward angle.

Grits,
the "standard" indi bottom bushing is 14mm app, if i run a tall barrell/cone at 16.5mm,
it will be softer than a normal indi duro, and with my fat arse on it i figure it'll compress that 2.5mm diff,
down to the normal 14mm.

i dont know much about modifying trucks and whatnot so im sorry if this sounds retarded but where is the room for the hangar and nut on the kingpin of the right hand baseplate?
Comment by Jezza on October 27, 2010 at 21:43
thats the point, the plate on the right has the stock kingpin, when you try to run big bushings there isnt enoguh room. Replacing them gives you the room to do so.

an elim/ Jim Z/ stim/ khiro barrel/ bones hardcore / grind king all fit (in my experience),

I run those same gold bolts, the long ones that is. I dunno where I got them from though? Super rad though, I still can't believe that people are making trucks with such short kingpins. Such a common problem and no one has worked out to make them longer? What gives?
