Hey grits. Glad you like the bike dude. It's total gravity porn! My advise is to try the short mongoose steering knuckle instead of the extended one. I found it more stable. It brings the handle bars closer to your face but the handling felt nicer. I think the further away the bars are from the steering axis (the tube) the less response you get. I felt like a passenger rather than a rider in control. Freaked the shit outta me. I've noticed Gonz's bike don't have any extension out fwd either.

Na dude, the steering dampner attatches to the fork arm not the steering bar. Send me a pick of how you've got it setup. I'm interested in see what else you've done aswell.
It came with the small ring lock to go onto the forks and I made the ring lock that goes on the frame. I didn't want to put any extra holes in the frame.

oh wow thats awesome you paint. Yeah I think theres a record shop, maybe butter beats in brisbane that sells mtn hardcore and some sabotaz maybe.Belton is good shit! unfortunetly i have a few cans of belton I couldnt bring over (that were nearly full) because of the pressure inside they cant be air shipped of come in a crate which sucks. Also don't have anyone to paint with, been going solo for now, so if you're ever in town we should go skating and painting heh.

I was looking for photos from B to B and found this... how's it going? Do you like the sled?

I'm saving my pennies to try and come out to Newton's this year. I don't think I'll be competeing but I'd like to witness the action and meet all you. I'm anxious to see all the riders i've been writing too and of course catch up with old friends like Pat and Andy...

I'd love to come and play with the Townsville riders. I'm not sure if I'll have enough time on this trip. I'm hoping I can buzz over for the race and get back without missing much work. I'll need to sell a few sleds to pay the way as well. Just like you, funds are tight this year.

The Rogers Bros build a great sled. It's hard to compete against two guys with engineering degrees and a full service metal fabrication shop with the best tools and machinery in the business that are also world class racers. They do a great job. I like to build and I like trying ideas. I think I've come up with a few good ones over the years. I have fun building each one. I love their designs too. Very well thought out and clearly they work great.

Hey Grits, Im from Perth wouldn't mind catching up with some older crew whilst at Kiera and Newtons this year. My mate and I are the only old boys doing any serious down hill in Perth so were keen to make some new old friends. Cheers.

that run at bunga was a great find 5mins from home. its an early morning job traffic builds up after about 730. bunga revisited has faster runs 80km + so the chase car said.
