Thanks for the coments. I am a little more fortunate than other board makers as i do a lot of 3d modeling in my buisiness and i have my own 3d cnc machine. So making molds is a little easer than shapping by hand. If you need any help givee me a call.
Thanks Steve for your kind words dont know about kickin your arse , mate just enjoying the mateship from everyone, and loving the little club challenges . I dont think a old bloke whos getting close to 50 would be much of a threat to the downhill scene.Mate loving the boards that you are pushing out , thinking about one in the future, I like what I see, keep up the great work well done.
Cheers Poppy Ross.
hey steve - good to skate on the weekend. the hopshop should still have some hoodies available. call robbo there and he can check sizes for you... also, we will probably be getting some new hoodies out soon now that is winter...
Hey man, sorry we didnt get back to come for a skate through shellharbour yesterday arvo. It was getting real late and Arvin needed to get home. Roll soon!
Hi Steve. I have to way till next year for surgery. Right now I just gotta becareful. Not much holding it together. I'm still Able to skate pain free though. Just can't fall.
How are the boards coming along? I like the new shape. Very innovative. Thinking of expanding the business yet?
Hi, thanks for the add...
So far I've only tested the press with an older very worn mold, making it hard to gauge any real issues with the actual press.
Having said that it is a little tricky making sure it comes down straight but considering we haven't actually put any guides on yet (and that it's on sloping ground) I'm not too worried about that.
I should be doing some proper testing with new molds this weekend. (plain-jane radial cave and my first drop deck, side by side)
and your boards look great, hopefully i can produce something worthy of a trade in the not-too-distant future

Hey man, as I said in the discussion, im looking to make a one of a kind prototype.
It will be a big project that will take a fair amount of time effort and money but I will be able to help with all of that. Plus the possibly benefits would be amazing.
dude I have an old dregs alpine, about 10" wide and 44" long (mid to deep concave) that I would be willing to donate to your concave library, I was thinking of chopping it into a short top mount, but I thought If you had it you could make me and heaps of other people nice little topmounts. let me know if you are keen mate.
Ive been looking for good pics of pigeons to send you, this chick, Layla Luna, does some nice art with birds.
If you want me to I can check with some friends if they can print on timber if you are interested in doing printed graphics, just let me know, I have a mate who is a signwriter, and a few friends that are freelance graphic designers. but I wont ask if thats a direction you dont want to head in.
hope im not over stepping the line, I just remembered the conversations I had with you at pumpy, and love to help out where I can.
heaps sorry mate, after an extended talk with the wife about our finances I will not be able to come up with the money until I sell some stuff, sorry to mess you round, Its exactly what I wanted. If it hasnt sold by the time I am able to raise the cash I will grab it then.
Sorry man! I havent kept you updated. Gripped it up the other week and had a few Keira's on it. Its fantastic! I love the deep concave up front, the W isn't too radical, I love looking at it. The gunmetals feel great on it.
I'm well content.
I was going to take the board round to my pop's bench drill press but I just got too lazy. I will one day when I muster up the motivation.
I'm after a custom board, i was going to go to pulse longboards (new zealand) but i figured stick to local guys.
I'm after a board with the exact shape of a hellcat (w concave and all), but without the drop cutouts. I like the killswitch but the circular drop platform isnt to my liking. The main reason i want you to make it is because rayne boards are becoming increasingly fragile thesedays. Could you knock me up a board like that made of wood and then laminate it in carbon fibre?
I don't have an exact answer, but I can suggest a couple of things...
* Delete your cookies and cache (temporary internet files), shut down IE9, and restart it.
OR
* Give up using IE9 and use either Firefox or Chrome instead. (I'd do this regardless - IE is a piece of crap and both Firefox and Chrome work better.)
hey steve, i was wondering if you could give me a quote on a black top mount with rear w concave and the FP logo on the bottom of the board? Thanks heaps ur boards are SWEET!
Hi Steve - I'm very impressed with your designs and finishes - top class. If you don't mind me asking, where do you get your CF from. I'd like to have a go at using it on the next deck i want to make. Rgds Deeks
Thank's Steve, your boards look really sweet to. Don't mind me I have been so far out of the loop for so long. Parenthood does that shit to you, so every corner I turn is interesting and new. Fat Pigeons are sick.
