HE'S STILL NOT HERE!!!!! He got stuck in Victoria so he arrives tomorrow instead, grrrrr. I dont have a credit card so I gave $$ to Matt and used his card to purchase so it automatically goes to his address.
they are now using professional everything. the booms are called jibs and cranes. i have always wanted to make one, but never had the motivation to do so.

i have nearly finished collecting footage for the "Eagle" video i have been making anyway. so the jib might be an idea for the next project.
Hey there sorry I could'nt tag along with you. Im on KI for the weekend but always keen for a fresh DH run. I dont chck ASRA all that often so next time you head out give me a call and we will organise something, unless it's Sunday because I will be at Eagle. Hope your skate was good, fill us in.
we didn't. the weather did exactly the same thing as it did the previous week, sunny all week then raining on the sunday. its really pissing me off. this is the 3rd week in a row i haven't ridden it, so i am really on edge at the moment.
i saw ur looking for black jimZ. mine don't suit my weight, so 3 of them are sitting in my bushings box not doing anything. if you want to swap with ur whites, i'd be happy to do that.
yeah maybe. bowditch fucked up his ankle recently (sliding). so if its not better by then probably not, as he is the one with the drivers license. he also really wants to try out that road with me, so i don't think i wanna do it without him just yet.
i'll let you know.
Yea dude, I heard your coming up this weekend! Looking foward to skating with you man. There is a benefit to listening in to others conversations after all!!
Cya Sunday man.
ooooo leathers! Yea man I will surely be at Bathurst 2009. Gotta find a way to get some runs in on the sucker. Do they do free riding do you know or do you have to race??
yeah, Aldgate was sweet. not as fast as i thought, hit a bit over 40. but cos its really windy and narrow, it doesn't need to be any faster. only did the fastest section with that big sweeping right. the rest isn't really worth it. had lots of fun tho. we stopped early cos we were scaring a few donkeys on the side of the road. we told the lady we would make sure they weren't in that paddock when we were doing it. she was nice and encouraging about it which was good. its a great spot to get used to riding with traffic.
haha dude its not like im just doing a few runs on them and throwing them out, im riding them till theres nothing left... first i cone them from sliding heaps then i'll shave em down so they are nice and even again and then wear em out till theres only a core left... the set ive got on my freeriding board at the moment are less than 58mm now
They're amazing at speed, but not versatile at all really. They beg to go fast. It's like driving a Ferarri downtown. If you're in the market for precision downhill trucks, my highest recommendation goes to KOOKYS. I have Kahalanis, Maguns, JimZ, Talons, Smokeys, and Kookys; and out of all of them, the Kookys are the most durable, have the best bushing seat, and are great at all speeds. They go with any type of speedboard as well. The others have a specific type of board which they perform best with. Kookys all the way.
When I say, "They're amazing at speed, but not versatile at all really. They beg to go fast. It's like driving a Ferarri downtown," I'm talking about the Maguns, btw.
hey dude, shall talk to you more bout it on sunday, but i see you're interesting in the beat the bastard ride? im hell keen to go up as well but dont know if id have the balls to skate..

Hey dude, at this stage dont think Im gonna be at Beat The Bastard. I've decided to attend MaryHill this yearwhich means I have to put about $250 a week aside plus I wanna get to Adelaide a bit more often to roll with you guys so it's all gonna chew up my money a bit. Russ is keen to go though I think, have a chat with him.
Yea man im so stoked to skate, espeecially after M.O.T.H. Mary hill will be siiiiiick! Im gonna go for the race, it will be good practice for Bathurst (not to mention the potential points) and I reckon more Aussies will be there for the race and I dont wanna go it alone. I hate flying man, airports make me really nervouse. Id rather fly with people, especially if they have done the trip before. Should be up in 3 or 4 weeks to roll in Adelaide.
I know what you meant Nick, Its cool dude, I was just being a smart arse ( something that I'm sure is in my dna, I just can't help myself ) But I understand totally where your coming from. My mate Karl has always pushed me, and I hope I have pushed him. Skating and snowboarding from around the age of 10 until and still now ( i'm 32 ) its great and helps you learn and push the boundaries
Hey I copied your instructions for a visor on the bell drop. Sweet as man!
there is no 'standard' width for slalom trucks, it all depends on your preference and how much controll you have. if your going to do the SGS i would probs say go for some randal 125s or 150s coz thats something you might be used to, but have the back truck alot less turnier than your front to give you stability and less chance of sliding out. what board are you thinking of using for the SGS?
some dudes like to use standard tracker RTs/x trucks with tight bushings for giant slalom, some dudes like to use fully-hectic-bro-$600-GOG-trucks on their setup, it all depends on your style. have you done much slalom before? or even at all?
