alex came up with alternatives though - go fitsroy gardens or find a good carpark... or - both.

carpark on a weekday is a no-no especially during the day. it's packed with cars and tight security. your ass will be thrown out before you can even get one run down.

fitzy is probably a better alternative just stay away from the cafe/restaurant cause they can be a bitch sometimes and call the park rangers on you.

Hey I'm coming down from Brisbane over the easter weekend (family)
I don't know if I'll be able to take a board as it's carry on luggage only...
but might as well warn you southern folk of my arrival.

No cools shops here. Will you be around sunday night? We'll be having a carpark session. I'm sure someone can lend you a board. If you're up for it, there's a few of us doing a 28km skate on Sunday. If you want to join, I can lend you a board for that and then we can join the carpark session afterwards.
