Heya Zap, how are you goin? Just jam aorund this Thursday with the squad. You don't have to do anything rad, but just come shred either way. Myself, and three other mates only recently joined the squad, and we're all novices ourselves. Noone bags you out or anything - we're just there for a skate.

@Stoked/Zap. Kamusta ka na? haha. You're not the only filo, dude. =) Pleasure to meet you. But yeah, Everyone's gotta start off somewhere, man. I personally wouldn't say there is someone in charge, but I guess it could be Blackwood. The squad mainly meets just outside Central Station; a place by the name of Railway Square. It's a massive bus-stop, and we meet specifically in front of the Mercure hotel entrance. Kinda hard to miss a large group of LB'rs. Tomorrow might be a miss though, considering the chance of rain. If this Thursday is a miss, there's nothing wrong with shredding the city next week. Either way, you have work.

@Rodrigo. How are you goin', buddy? As mentioned earlier, we usually meet up at Railway Square. If any rain does manage to sneak its way to the city, there's nothing wrong with waiting for another week. Don't be afraid to join, we're not going to bite. Everyone's got a different skillset, and everyone's had to start from scratch. Just come skate on a dry Thursday, and have fun. Don't be a stranger guys.

@Dave: Haha, chea, with those grindy wheels and whatnot. Felt like a quick night, though. Copping crap from everyone. You missed out on the best slide sesh, yo. We hit up Gas Lane, I think it was named. Insanely slippery road with a sweet as drop. Chris and Alex were the last veteran skaters there, the rest were us rookies. We got a good show out of it, man. Patrick learnt how to Coleman effectively, too. ;) Haha.

@Stoked/Zap: Chea, i've got a friend of mine - the one that got me into longboarding - he's filo too. Although we're still learning the language, we're still filo. Although we were born here. Bahaha. Anyways, come by the squad next week. Noone's going to flame you for learning how to ride. Or if the weather holds up, we can go for a session of our own to practice before Bomb Squad sessions. I'll send you my number if need be.

Golf and Zap, if you ride natural, watch Kyle Chin's toeside predrift tutorial on youtube since BMs is all toeside cornering. I found it helped heaps in conquering the gnarpark - Kyle gives really clear tips.

hey ive been watching those trick tips on youtube they are great anything you think i should be looking at in perticular for someone who has just started.

just try and learn your basic handsdown slides eg shut downs and pre drifts first up and progress from there i would say.. also make sure you can footbreak comfortably, being able to stop is number 1 priority haha
