Australia has been mentioned as a possible venue for the 2015 World Championship Slalom race.
Such an event will need serious sponsors to help with travel costs and accommodation, and a good spot to have it, with state government "major events" support, and local govt support.
So what do we all think?
Are we up for it?

unless your talking about travel costs and accommodation for the riders who wish to have a stab at becoming a world champion!

Thought bubble popped!
Until we get slalom and downhill properly recognised by the National Sporting Organisation, (Skate Australia via SbA) nothing much will happen, because the NSO is starving the sport of oxygen.
Right now SbA is only supporting its own brand of AM street league, and 5-12 yo learn to skate programs.
The NSO does not even support skateboarding for the Olympics, so don't expect to be able to "Go For Gold" anytime soon.
