jayden, hit up dan guzzardi, he might be willing to help you out, he is in that area too, worst case boys there is an abundence of backpackers in the city which often have great bars below them too, i reccomend the one on spencer street myself, the bar is fucking rad
Where abouts on Latrobe? I assume it's a carpark given the weather... Im gonna try and make it down for my first roll with you guys. Let me know on 0439974735 if you can.

***vans era size 8 worn once walking, not skating. $60 (bought for $90)
***home drop thrud killswitch, stainless steel reinforced nose (forked). rear is normal drop thru (not forked). has a crack but is not an issue unless you are 75kg+. boss freeride deck. $60
***chopped and redrilled sector 9 race deck, gripped with vicious and comes with a homemade footstop. rear holes are drilled abit crooked but can be easily fixed as long as you are precise and not an impatient bastard like me. good simple topmount. did i mention that the graphic is speshal? $70
Cheers for that guys, was good fun to ride with others rather than my average commute! Will have to make up some gloves before the next session so I can try some slides :)

those who are over 18, have cool parents or an older brother sister, friend etc who is 18 and likes to watch skateboarding should be making it down to the springvale ditch on this friday night. event page is here, should be a great night in the ditch
new melburn shirts to come, contact me in the next few days for details, i will be organising a readily available supply for those who want them after the first run with colour options and style options etc etc, prices will vary, your looking at round 30ish for the standard short sleeve, white with black sleeves, will have it all sorted out in 2-3 days so people can place orders, shirts will be done before kongwak too
oh those of you who got flexy fun boards i am looking to get rid of my s9 race or my california bonzing co little fatty in a trade for something fun and dropped through
was utterly appalled with the assult that took place tonight, yet again people show their lack of maturity by doing stupid things. ITS SKATEBOARDING, PEOPLE FALL OVER AND YOU GET HURT, some people need to grow up
i aint discussing that, but i know people talk like nothing else so in a few days most people who ride with the people involved will know. And i wanted to express my sadness that something like this actually happend in skateboarding..... let alone involved myself and another guy who has been around the scene for a few years now.
http://www.zazzle.com.au/melburnlongboarding more stuff is getting put up in the next 24 hours, basically there is a 10% margin on them, all of that margin which is like $2.85 (if i had a choice i wouldnt have one but the website does not allow you to make less profit) will be going towards getting a timing system for events such as kongwak so there is the option for guys to run qualification at events as opposed to a random draw
Hey guys, does anyone know of any hills where you can take a bus or train back to near the top? It doesnt have to be a massive hill, but at least enough so that you get a good five, ten minutes of freeriding to the bottom. I live in Bulleen, but anywhere is good. Cheers
Yeah? Will they fit a standard 180mm hangar and Kingpin? I can give you some slightly coned/flatspootted yellow stims for them? Still have alot of thane on them im sure you could work em down.
Thanks Bear I think I might. At the moment on my 50 deg plates im running an eliminator boardside and venom shr barrel roadside, with cupped washers and only have one or two rings of kingpin to play with.
It just sits too high for my liking on the avenger, want it lower.
35's are going to make for an intersting ride thats for sure matt, it sure will be stable, but some guys like meisho are loving those stupid low degree setups so maybe it will work for you

note: the killswitch is not for you if you are looking for an immaculate purty board and/or are scared of scratches on the deck.
note#2: both decks are gripped with vicious in the places that matter.

Matt,
You may/may not need a longer kingpin, the plates i have at home,
28o = 23mm kingpin inside the bp,
35o = 26mm " " "
42o = 21mm " " "
depending on the bushings/washers you use,
you need 45mm to 50mm projecting out of the baseplate.

Yeah i'm def going to be trying to one up Mischo at Kongwak, I reckon I could bust out a 140kmh no problem haha.
But nah I have decided to go back to wanting 42o plates, and then flip them.
