most probably leave city at around 8:30am - 9am if it's mtn hw. Probably a little later if it's just chirnside. There's no traffic at chirnside so it's not a problem to hit that area a little later
Callum - Arthur's Seat is not really a good place to start DH. Sean couldn't even ride it. You probably would die going down that run. My killswitch almost went off the edge haha. Do mtn hw tucked the entire way before u even consider attempting Arthur's Seat.
Dale - Evo has been retired. I have it set up with Original S10's right now haha. Killswitch's my dedicated DH board.
Stephen - I'm pretty sure u can do mtn hw. It's a good intermediate run for training tucking stamina and endurance. If you're comfortable with speeds of 50-55kph, that's a good run for you. You can only reach those speeds if you really tuck.
Dale - Depends on what kinda of set up you have the board on.... Of course turning is a breeze on the killswitch because it's 10'' wide at the front and back.
Oscar - I don't know wut ur talking about. You've nvr been riding there before. It's easy to lose control, go over the cliff, and fall to your death....
arthurs seat is okay. you just gotta be confident with footbraking and both toesides and heelside turns otherwise you're fucked. definitely wouldnt recommend it for beginners. mt hwy is the perfect spot to learn.
I think the best place to practice getting up to speed would be chirnside park. You can slowly work your way higher and higher up that hill without worrying about cars.
Dale, killswitch doesn't really have a noticeable drop. You can't even see it. You'll have to run you hands along the bottom to actually know there's a drop in the board. I suggest you join us one of these weekends. I'll probably be riding it on saturday if we go to chirnside park. You should come along and try it out.
I havn't really ridden the evo+S10 much. It's definitely a nice cruiser with really sharp turns. I think it'll make a good long distance pusher.
really? wanna disclose some locations? i'll go check them out...and will most likely be swayed and and get Dave to build the board i've been designing for ages...
true that, Dale. Just try to complete forget about it and when it does get to your doorsteps, you will be twice as happy :)
And Dale, you live in the hills man. That are should have tons of good areas. you just gotta go explore
So I guess it's Chirnside this Saturday. How does everyone feel bout catching the 9:15am Lilydale train from Melb Central? Organize yourself to get on that train.

i'm with fendy about arthurs, you need to be in control there or you'll lose a board over the cliff. good footbraking is a must i reckon.
