went out tonight and did the stacker in west perth then some other streets around the area... did a few mini stand up slides and also my first dropknee(?) slide on some slightly wet and dry roads.. fun =)

AHHHH! i want to come skate. my shoulder finally improves so i roll my ankle hella bad and get a cold! this blows! ill try and make it out to the city some time this week, depends how im feeling.

I rolled my ankle yesterday morning on the way to work.
It was raining, I Did a foot break, came to a complete stop. Then, when getting off the stationary board, I must have steeped on something slippery. The next thing I know, I'm wearing my coffee, have hurt my elbow, my ankle is rolled and I'm lying in a puddle of mud, water and coffee on a street corner in Northbridge!

POST UP FOR THIS SUNDAY 1ST AUGUST
Meet at the corner of glenelg ave and stockdale cres in wembley downs area at 9:00 so naturally 9:30, nice chilled spot suitable for small races, then procede to ewen rd aka "the gaultlet" and see how fast we can go (if someone wants to bring their gps) expected speeds probably around 80-90 so pretty fast (its pretty much just a drag strip for skateboards :), then trek it out to the hills and skate mills east and mills then zigs, whos in? post up if ur keen, some people probs wont be able to make it to wembley but trust me its worth it because if you like speed ewen rd will blow your mind, peace out

@ian - yur so right man , seriously it does exhance the experience, why do u think sector 9 enjoy longboarding as much as they do and why they have cutouts on their cruiser board. to carry mint lollies? i dont think so haha

@Ewen St Riders - You really should have someone posted on the bottom of that run where the cars pull out. I drive that one quite a bit (and have ridden it a few times) and cars pull out right at the bottom without looking. It could well be a death trap. I'm just saying take proper precautions to be sure everyone will be able to ride another day.

Also, the other side of ewen street is a nice long cruzy run for people who aren't comfortable with those sorts of speeds.

Have fun, I'm sure I will pop up somewhere without warning over the next few weeks :)

To be honest with you all, speed in Perth, just with people posted in all street corners .... people are not used to this kind of sport here and definitely not aware of the spots that skaters usually ride. Ewen st is serious shit man ....... the street is narrow and there's heaps streets coming off .......

I've seen a couple of deadly accidents in Sao Paulo/Brazil, where the traffic is much more chaotic than here, and I tell you, it's never too much precaution when it comes down to speed downhill ......
