then hope to get a rad setup from East Coast Board Co. which apparently isnt too far from where i'm staying in Arlington VA (USA).. and again, (hopefully) i will be able to sesh an 8 storey corkscrew next to where i'm staying and/or find some gnar hills. heard that Maryland is a pretty big slice of gnar pie so might have to sort out full body protection while over there too.. playin it all be ear though n will get snaps/footage where i can! catcha on the flipside crew :-)

these jams we've been having have seriously been some of the best times in my life.. and i've done a lot up until now, having been to a lot of places and done a lot of things around the world and am quite a few yrs older then most of you.. so yeah, goes to show that longboard jams are pretty hard to beat!

totally gonna miss our seshes aye.. will start having bigger and better meets.. also got a main skater from the street crew (not on ASRA) coming back from Africa in a few weeks as well, so will link crews and have heaps of rad fun :-)

anyone want to go hit up some hills/carparks this weekend? (the 10th and 11th) I'm new to this, I want to put together some gloves and try some drifting type stuff.. also want to take out my huffy slider drift trike

paul, i can't go this weekend, i'm going douth, but usually on weekends there's a bit of a gathering and we hit some different hills and usually end up in the hiulls near kalamunda and mundaring.

i wish i could go out this weekend but i can't.

there's always something going on so keep your eyes peeled on this page. and as for gloves, look on youtube, it describes how to make some slide gloves.

If i were you i'd go and buy some decent gloves from bunnings as opposed to cheap ones, they are going to save your skin after all.

Yeah its the one with the hard plastic wheels.. took it out tonight to the corkscrew stacker, went pretty well but its not quite fast enough for the slider...

i live in maylands myself.. as mentioned in the other thread there are some interesting parts around peppermit grove/nedlands along the river that have steep hills that might work well and the mundairing stuff.. do u have one ian?

I'm back from Bali, if anyone is going to Bali think about taking ur longboard because the hills in the ubud area are fucking gnar, like some slopes with over a thirty degree gradient heaps of epic corners and hairpin corners, the traffic is pretty bad at times but u just have to have someone at the bottom looking out, so what's been happening in Perth lately skate wise?

did you skate? its so rad right! some of the hills right up north are amazing! like skate through towns and rice paddies for half an hour without pushing. all downhill

so I have a spare double kick sitting around here and I think i might convert it into a 'shlongboard' which means re-drilling the trucks to fit on the ends where the kicks are... could be a fun way for me to get a bit more 'longboardish'..

as for a longboard I'd like to eventually get one which is great for carving and drifting, so if anyone is selling a second hand one that suits - be sure to hook me up!... im not really into top speeds, i like smooth rolling and drifting the most.

ive heard those ones with heaps of flex are good for that kind of thing (sector 9 style)

why not just buy a longboard ? :/

nar ian i didnt have a board hey :( but i would have if i did, although some of the runs were verging on unskatable due to the incline/degree of corners/runs but would have given it a shot, theres a road going towards a whitewater rafting place that drops like drops 100 meters in like 400 to 500 meters of road :O i was shitting myself just driving down it, thought the brakes were gonna fail or sum shit. but other runs were cruisy and hell long too, spewin no board
