This is a group for W.A riders to join, so we can organise skate meets, downhill runs, carpark runs, city runs, Rottnest island runs and comps... all welcome.. lets get the ball rolling to build gatherings as held on the east coast....
plus...... sunday is mum day (you know that person that went through months of pregnancy, labour to give birth to you, and years of changing your nappy even though you probably peed in her face each time she changed it... )
you wouldnt be longboarding today if you never came out of her cha-cha :-D
so big up ya mum!
@harry, hey man. sorry i havent replied, no credit. yeah im still down for getting it off you, ive got your cash and can grab it whenever. ill ring you tonight!
@everybody else, if i can get out there you have a filmer as i cant skate! hopefully it will happen cause im getting skate withdrawl symptoms and its only been a week!
@craig -have been meaning to reply earlier bout your comment about 20 pages ago lol. "hard to get into america with splattered brains." uh yeh.. totally man.. best be safe then sorry at the end of the day... sometimes we just have to remind each other that it only takes something small to injure ourselves.. ha ha.. just like that crap stacker wipeout i had in January... speaking of stackers im more then happy to show you the gnarpark that Tash posted a link for the art inside it.
@Tash -nice work btw
@crew -anyone else who wants to do a stacker/city sesh and see the gnarpark as mentioned above let me know.. more then happy to have some CBD fun.
Also - anyone seen that "Drop: My Life Downhill" movie? previews on youtube look mad
First time I did it was when I was new to this long boarding stuff. Kind of launched into it without realizing how fast it was, did it with no gloves, helmet, etc, etc. Really Really dumb move.
The other side is actually a really nice cruzy long run with 2 round abouts to slow down for.
There are some really nice runs in Scarborough (but that is the hairyest). I'm happy to show some people around there one Saturday night.
Also, in Mt Lawley, there are some great short but steep hills with some really good left/right turns that give good practice at sliding around sharp corners.
@David Evans -i'm cravin... how bout this Wednesday (12th May) - meet at Fast Eddy's carpark - cnr Murray & Milligan - around 7:30pm?
@crew -FYI; watch for cleaners outside of city arcades if you decide to cut through one... it usually means they've just soaped it up... weeeeee!
(i discovered this after sliding into an arcade and face-planting a window) :D
Hi guys
I just joined, new to the scene, keen on second hand gear so I can get started properly. Get in touch if u have a board or bits and pieces that u want to sell. My Rebel Sports pintail just doesn't cut it! Keen on dropped decks appropriate for downhill and learning to slide. Cheers!
Howdy lads! me and my mate have just joined the crew, keen to get bombing some hills. My mate needs a lot of coaching so help would be appreciated, I'd just like some crew to ride with.
Ride a Sector 9 'ala morna' with 80a 69mm wheels and gullwing sidewinder trucks.
Used to ride freebord for a few years if anyone else has one and is keen?
i prefer wkends too - better for a longer sesh, but when the weather looks dodgey im not too keen on gettin wet n catchin a cold cos bein sick sux a fat one.
for anyone who thinks it might be useful; the weather forecast is in the paper everyday at the back or you can find 10 day weather forecasting on the internet (get your google on) and for more accurate up-to-date weather go straight to the BOM website 8-)
@Dave Evans -damn that sux, its the last day this week that the weathers lookin promising for a decent CBD sesh. hopefully we'll get some more good weather. if you're headin out you can always try me on 0431 833 148... heh.. spontaneous skate sessions can be good, kinda like sex
@Shan -yeah man, even i was pmsl :-)
@Tash -if it's not raining too much (refer above lol) i'll come out for a stacker sesh.. even if its "ol' faithful" for the whole sesh (that 10 storey between Tiger Lil's and 78 records) anyways if you're still up for it i'll give you a buzz around 6-6:30pm to let you know if im comin yo.
