Pure win, nuff said, prof
It's like the Matrix - everyone bodyslams the OHCP wall on their first run.....
hey alex remember that time at opera where i ended up in the wall, with 4 other guys taken out by the board? i lold
dudes, u gotta be a capable rider. be able to handle yourself AND your board.
Haha, Dave it still gets a bit interesting at times :P Especially Chucky Hunter and I in Opera House the other night....car and ped dodging , was crazy....almost smashed into 2 Mercs and a Beemer :P
And knowing how to stop like that, will definately help, like Dave said, youcan get badly hurt, or even killed in extreme situations.....You have to remeber that we are sharing the roads with cars and sometimes dont realise that we are there, or dont care. I have smashjed into cars pulling out cause they decided not to see me, and footbraking has saved me alot, changing an injury from a possible break to just a bruise....
I stand by what I said. SCBS is NOT the place to learn how to stop. People who told you it's for all skill levels were wrong. You need to be able to handle yourself. If you can't control your speed or pull an emergency stop, then riding fast with a group in the city at night is potentially going to get you badly hurt or even killed. I think people are forgetting that bombsquad is actually pretty dangerous (or has it got really lame and safe since my injury?).
I taught myself shutdown slides on my own well before I turned up and I still got smashed into carpark walls repeatedly for weeks.
Go to youtube, watch some Kyle Chin or Colton slide tutorials and then practice on a quiet hill until you can stop in a hurry. That's what I did.
