i have done some the cheapo way, i ran a soft flat thats very thin under it and it seemed to be fine, it sorta compressed on the angle and i got more contact

yes i know that's an option, but i dont like the idea of my baseplate sitting on such a small area of contact when you do it the cheapo way.

3 degrees isnt much gilbert, if you can get someone to do the maths (there is a formula for this, hit up a year 12) you should be able to do it the cheapo way and cut 1/3 of a standard height flat riser appart and then put it on your board to give you the angle your after
