ASRA - Australian Skateboard Racing Association

What is the Hop Shop?

The premises that Hopkin Racing and Hopkin Skate operate out of is known as The Hop Shop.

Why?

Well, it could be because it is owned by Hop.

What?

The Hop Shop is 500sqm and 4 levels of everything skateboarding. It is the biggest skate shop in Australia and one of the biggest in the world.

Where?

4 Northcote Street, St Leonards NSW 2065. Phone: 02 8060 1588

Is it open to the public?

Yes, we are a real skateshop, not just an online PO Box like some others. So come in and have a chat to the guys about anything and everything skateboarding. Drop in and see the skate collection on the wall or all the new skate gear in the shop.

Why buy from the HopShop?

Because we are a no bullshit shop that supports local manufacturers, distributors and suppliers. We sponsor many local events, national sporting associations, and young Australian riders. We live and breath skateboarding, we immerse ourselves in the community, we volunteer all our spare time to help young skaters, events and boardmakers to get a break. Did I mention we also have a RAD skate shop that provides one of the biggest collections of skateboard gear in the country. When we setup boards we only use quality parts and set them up like our own, we don't substitute cheap china crap like some online shops do. We are a real skate shop run by real skaters with real brands and a real passion for everything skateboarding, not some ebay shop designed to rip money off Australian skaters and run your local skate shop out of business.

Open to the public:

  • Monday to Friday: 9:30am - 5:00pm
  • Saturday - Sunday: 10:00am - 4:00pm

To learn from my older brothers mistakes.....Mr Syphilis (aka Syph man)
When im on the job, weather it be for training, pleasure or the usual stud fee my most important peice of equipment needs to be rapped in rubber to protect me and the lucky lady....or occasional high classs escort from the cross.
So please save from from a lifetime of scratching and sponsor me some RUBBERS!!!
and thats why i need to wrap myself in rubber...
Cya on the hills boys ;)
well you see,i need some rubber,im goin to townsville in may and mt stuart is the ultimate shoe killer....i really need some for my front foot aswell coz my trusty old d/h shoes have lost all their grip and new soles will bring them back to life........so in other words mt stuart is so gnar i need to wrap myself in rubber.......and i can tell you how they last! show me the rubber!
canberra roads are rough as shit as many of you will know, a long time ago in a far away land called "CANBERRA" henry, myself and a few others were going for a session at many different hill in canberras we were traveling form our first spot of the day Henry decides that he needs a new set of shoes as the ones he is currently wearing are too far gone to be used any more so he went and bought a cheap pair of shoes, then we went off to hit Black mountain the shut down at the end chewed all the way through the sole of his new sole ont the first run at the top of the hill in the back of henrys van we found a peice of rubber that we thought wouold hold up a little better then his new shoes, yet again in one single run he wore through his new brake sole and a little more of his new shoe, and thats why if I was Henry King looking down at my new shoe I would say "and thats why i need to wrap myself in rubber"

if this wins you can send the rubber to either Henry or Myself, not that it will.
I need the rubber because I,m a dick.

(thats what my misses calls me every time I spend money on skate gear)
