has twice as much foam and you will notice that it is round at the back which is better for crashing as it wont hookup, your kinda ugly...

Whats the actual safety rating and weight on this helmet?
so have been talking to the guys at Predator, first run will be ready for maryhill, mostly a sample of 30ish, first run will be black and they may come with a spare lens, expect black and clear as standard

I will be getting mine around mid to late june as I am a test dummy for them, really hope they send a white one, will tell you guys how they are.

also safety and weight i dont know i expect they will be about 100 grams more then a Charly as they have a similar layup on the outside but as I said, 1 inch of foam instead of a half inch. so better then a charly but not as much as a bell drop, but comes with a visor as standard
sorry to double post.

just went looking for more details for peps, the helmet that this is based off is 785 grams so take off the visor and add a lens and a little extra foam and your looking at the 850 to 900 gram mark. thought that this might help
i thought it was obvious! when you slide out and break boh your arms, then go over the edge of a cliff only to have your helmet grabbed by batman who saw this impending disaster was about to happen. so the reason you need to have the tech test is just incase your dangling from a cliff by your helmet... der

i would always prefer a clip instead of a D ring, if something went wrong and you needed to take off your lid quickly or there was some sort of an emergency, a D-ring would be a really shit idea... sure its secure but can be a little too secure... the clips are fine.

i dont get why the tech inspectors have to try to 'break' the straps, sure you gotta check and see if its nice and secure but pulling as hard as you can isnt always the best idea. 2008's newton's playground saw jezzas BRAND NEW helmet get broken coz marcus pulled the straps right out of the helmet! he pulled them like he really wanted to pull them out... there arent any situations to get in when you will find your helmet getting pulled that hard while your in a crash, and if you do somehow get into that situation i dont think the straps are going to help you coz chances are your entire head will be pulled from your body at the same time...
okay guys so I know it has been a long time coming but the new prototype from predator is off being tested by dave price form TSR, new pics are up on their blogspot.
