ok....but i don't have precisions I use randals and crails on my decks, I was trying to make a point about ppl buying precisions even though they haven't really hit higher speeds or tried out other cast trucks

It'd just show that even with all the advantage I get with 'better' gear, I still can't beat someone with 'crappy' gear, but that's just me. If you have the money, its your money (not your parents), spend it however you please, if it's your parent's money I'd feel you have the responsibility to tell them that $400 trucks are not a necessity, if they say yes then go for it!
