anyone know any skate shop that supplies under shorts with hip/arsecheek protection.. i keep trashin myself learnin this sliding gimmick..its a bitch, i am runnin outta skin.

Sweet Beet,  you could use those to your advantage in a race.  If you're a big unit like me, make sure you just wear those on race day and no shorts over them.  Then all you have to do is get the lead in the push and assume the tuck position and the rest is history...Haha

I think these would be great for preventing this.........

Though I do think that prevention is probably the best thing ie not falling at all or falling "correctly" :)

I might look into a set of those underdaks, finding in my old age I don't "bounce" like I used to and it has taken me a few weeks to get over that injury, they would probably help in the event of another fall/fail lol
