Scientists discover fungus that can consume polyurethane. Not something you want to get on your freerides... although probably only an issue if you're doing DH through the forests of South America (sorry McWhinnies).

Pretty big deal for landfill problems if it turns out to have an appetite for other plastics. For now, throw all those cored, flatspotted wheels in a box with a few of these mushies, close the lid and let em go! Or, scatter a few on the road after a hard slide sesh.....

your kidding, i throught i was shredding my wheels but but old fungus mungus has been out our coring wheels while we sleep.
