DESCRIPTION:The Event: For the second time in New Zealand, the Mike P
 erro Raceway is hosting the ‘Ruapuna Ultraskate’ – A 24-hour cha
 rity fundraiser for small wheeled vehicles – skateboards, longboards
 , inline-skates, rip-stiks, skooters and rollerskates.\nIn 2011 the ev
 ent had over 50 participants from all over New Zealand and raised over
  $3000 for charity. As well as this, a New Zealand distance skateboar
 ding record was set and a world record in distance quad skating.\nThi
 s year we are opening it up to solo entrants and teams of up to 6 peop
 le and as the event will be sanctioned by the IDSA (International Di
 stance Skateboarding Association) we are guaranteed that riders from o
 verseas will be entering.\nGrab some mates, get some wheels and come a

 he chosen charity.\nThe Track: The Mike Perro Raceway at Ruapuna Park
  is one of New Zealand’s Premier Raceways. Over 3km of silky smooth 
 blacktop with facilities to deal with large numbers of people mean tha
 t it is an ideal place to get people rolling. Suitable toilet faciliti
 es, parking options, camping, indoor space, undercover garaging and sp
 ace to put up marquees makes it a perfect venue for such an event.\nSi
