Haha. thats nuts.

I think a DH set up & mobbing could work well Rob.

Yeah fixed cones are too heavy when doing a SGS.

I tried using garden gnomes as cones in the drain once.

But they kept falling off the banked walls.

I like your idea of  having just 1 concrete cone in the course that nobody knows about.

Mr Gerber below finds out the hard way. Kids...

awesome mark, thats heaps funny, im just gonna rock the DH set up and mob it PC, dont really have any other boards atm. cone marshalling sounds good, another question, why have slalom course never used fixed cone courses, is cause its to hard to log around 70 solid cones or just not the way things are done.or maybe cause this can happen! hahahaha

All good folks , looking forward to it, Had people tell me its a 30 kmh and others 45 /50 half way down , Some of the slalom guys and, old farts like myself are getting a tad psyched about the speed, before even trying the hill

I'm sure this is going to be heaps of fun & a bit different for everyone.

That's what the search for Animal Chin is all about !

Rob, with the cone marshaling. It's 1 cone down & you DQ.

I was going to get riders to marshal at 6 or 7 different stations on the way back up. So as you finish your run, you go to the bottom station of the course & move up as riders come through, till your at the top again. 3 runs each.

The cones are really well spaced on the faster straights.where you can tuck & maintain enough speed after the dip.

The second straight is a hump so there's a line of 18 or so cones to

pump up & over to the next corner.

Offset cones are not massive, so you can still pump speed or carve & air break before the corners.

You might need 1 foot break before the last corner, but there's heaps of clear space before it to put 1 in. Which I was doing.

The Hybrid slalom on the lower road will be quite fast too, so don't expect

any 6 foot center cones. Haven't set a course for this yet.

I'll try get some footage of the course next time I'm up there.

Tweak those slalom rigs to handle a bit more down the line speed.

23-24 inch WB is good for the SGS, bit less wedging & a tighten of the bushings.

Your good to shred.

NACCOS will supply ply wood & spongy cardboard to cover the rock drain

on the last corner.......AKA. Careys Corner. After most of the family already crashing on that one.

i really am looking forward to this. just one question , with so many cones will be a job of like 6-8 marshals to watch if you hit any and fix the cones back up when you do knock some out? last slalom i put on at pumpy i just ditched the cones and used tree branches, cant dodge them or ya fucked, worked well, hahaha.

ASRA haybailing an outlaw ..LMFAO

why would ASRA have to hay bale something that NACCOS is putting on???  NACCOS will take care of shit.. not that hay bales are needed... its a SUPER GS which might not b4 everyone.. its to show downhill dudes how rad slalom is.. if u stand up the hole way down the hill u will hit 30ks at the most.. safe as..

Read pickles post below,.How will hay bails help when you won't even make the edge of the road in a crash, slalom fuck ups and you get slapped not propelled, id be surprised if you even reach 40 kph, it's only 50 full tucking in a straight line,. This is sgs, maybe not suitable for tight twitchy setups...if you think this is fast you shoulda seen mt Stuart sgs. Ten times gnarlier

Epic course! cant stop thinking about it. Downhill board or slalom board it doesnt matter, i had more fun on my longboard, but i couldnt catch duddy on his slalom board. Still thinking how i can get more speed on track...at no time was i trying to lose speed. This is a once in a lifetime track, 75 cones to pump through as fast as you can and improve your time till you cant walk, 4 runs and we were done. i think the fittest will go well.

I like to ride all styles of skateboards but this is one of the ultimate fun things to do on a board, just so you know.
