Tw o-man heats. There will be no timed qualifiers - every rider qualifies and will be seeded randomly. But don't worry about getting a tough dr aw; it's a double-elimination system, so everybody gets a second chanc e. Every person will race at least two heats, and there will be hours of practice.\n\nWhat's the hill like?\n\nIt's about 800 metres long, w ith a top speed of about 55km/h (for skateboarders). No footbreaking i s required, nor sliding around corners. It's easy enough for first-tim e racers, but has enough in it to create epic head-to-head racing for the pros.\n\nHow much does it cost?\n\nSkateboard: $30\nLuge: $30\nBot h: $60\n\nWhat do I get?\n\nApart from a day of racing, you have a sho t at PRIZE MONEY. Cre8ive Sk8 and Hopkin Skate are providing prize mon ey in the form of vouchers at their shops. How much? $2,400\n\nWhat ar e the categories?\n\nOpen Skateboard: Everybody who wants to be Master of the Hill.\nMaximum 64 riders.\n1st: $300, 2nd: $200, 3rd: $100.\n\ nJunior Skateboard: For those under 18 on race day. Juniors can also r ace in the Open category, so they get two events for the price of one. \nMaximum 32 riders.\n1st: $300, 2nd: $200, 3rd: $100.\n\nGrom Skatebo ard: For those under 16 on race day. It's all one big category for those lying down. To enter, simply turn up and pays yours moneys.\n\nHow do I get there?\n\nThe exact location of the Pump Station is only revealed to those who sign a sacred oath to respect it, respect the traditional ow ners, and to leave it as clean and sparkling as they found it. If you can't get somebody to tell you where it is, contact Bugs or Robbo a co uple of days before the race and they might tell you. Generally speaki ng it's about a 90 minute drive west of the Sydney CBD.\n\nFood & Drin k\n\nA BBQ will be on-site to provide food & drinks at a reasonable co st. There are no nearby shops. Bring your own water and sunscreen.\n\n Some rules and regs\n\n1. Two-pushes only at the start. No kicking the board out in front of you and running and jumping on to it.\n2. No ri ding the steep side of the hill! At all! Instant disqualification. (Th is is to prevent head-on collisions)\n3. No walking back up the hill o n the track. (Gotta leave the whole track clear for those riding down) .\n4. No parking cars in spots that might piss off local residents. St ay clear of driveways, gates etc.\n5.
