DESCRIPTION:To promote the growing longboarding scene on the Sunny Coa st, I am hosting a Race Day along with the help of some other skaters. The event will be taking place at Gyndier Drive, which is Noosa Hill Climb and if you want to check it out head over to Google Maps and str eet view that shit now! The event won't necessarily run till 4:30, jus t till all of the races are over.\nTRANSPORT FEE of $15 FOR BUS FROM B OTTOM TO TOP OF HILL FOR MAJORITY OF THE DAY.\n \nRegistration\n\n \ nRace Format\n1st race will not be elimination. 2nd race will begin el imination.\nALL RACE GROUPS DRAWS WILL BE DETERMINED THROUGH NAMES BEI NG DRAWN FROM A HAT. FAIR SYSTEM ENSURING NO DISCREPANCIES OCCUR.\nRac es will be in groups of 6. When elimination begins, top 3 progress int o next round.\nEach race will be split up into groups, where you will race against each person, progressing into the next round and so on un til the final where the final winner will be decided. \nEvents taking place on the day are as follows:\n\nElimination Races\nLongest Manual \n\nThere might be a kicker and rail on the day so bring your double k icks/hybrids/whatever tickles your fucking fancy and have a sesh.\n \ nCategories\nAll events will be split up into age groups to ensure fai rness and will be as following: - Uber Groms: 0 - 13\n- Groms: 14 - 16 \n- Opens: 17+\n- Girls: Any attending\n\nSponsors\nEarly, West Hem Ro ll, Extreme Skates, MuirSkate, Heelside Magazine, Skateboard Express/V ault, Original, STOKED Skateboards, Concrete Lines and Skate-Parts are on board. \nRules/ Guidelines\n\nIn order to compete, riders must be wearing a helmet and slide gloves and are highly advised to wear the r espective protective gear i.e. Knees and elbow. Please note Helmet and Slide Gloves are compulsory, no exceptions.\nRiders are participating at their own risk, in no way are the event organisers, sponsors or lo cal community representatives responsible for riders actions. A compul sory form must be filled out at registration, consenting that you unde rstand the risk and are competing at your own risk.\nClean up after yo urselves. Don't leave rubbish on the ground, this event is for you and the Sunshine Coast longboarding scene. The main objective of the even t is to show that longboarders aren't out to seek and cause trouble in the community. So we are trying to communicate that we are trying bui ld a better connection between the community and longboarders. So by c leaning up after yourselves, this will ensure residents in the street stay happy.\nSunscreen is also highly advised, sunburn is never fun an d skin cancer isn't either! So plaster it on and stay sun safe.\nKeep hydrated. We will try our best to provide water on the day, but make s ure you do bring your own water bottle and a snack to eat.
