SUMMARY:BoarderX Mix Up at Blender Festival
DESCRIPTION:\nBoarderX is the opening event of the Wollongong Blender 
 Festival. Blender is an art, music and technology festival and part o
 f the revitalisation of Wollongong.\nThis will be a big audience even
 t. We are inspecting 5000 spectators on the opening night. The atmosph
 ere will be amazing, and a chance for us to showcase the positive aspe
 cts of skateboarding.\n\nThis is the best pop up skatepark money can b
 uy. Register and you can skate it for two days. There will be sessions
 , best trick comps and racing.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSafety gear\nYou must have
  a skateboard helmet to race. It does not have to be a fullface downhi
 ll helmet, a regular skateboard helmet is ok. Other safety equipment i
 s at the riders discretion. This is non contact racing, however you wi
 ll be skating in extreme close proximity to other skaters. There will
  be accidents, please be prepared to crash. We recommend slide gloves 
 and knee pads.  \n\nWe apologise for the late notice - registration a
 nd details of the event should have been announced a long time ago. Ho
 wever it is better late than never. We don't get many opportunities to
  build the BoarderX course, hopefully everyone can see the positive as
 pects of racing it again, and not the negative aspects of the late ann
 ouncement.\n\nWhy do riders have to pay and volunteer?\nEarly registra
 tion is $20, to register on the day of the event will be $30. If the e
 vent gets cancelled due to rain, we will be refunding prepayments.\n\n
 Volunteer to help NOW! If you are a parent or friend of a rider or jus
 t want to be part of our communty event, please use the above link to 
 volunteer. We have a job for everyone, no experience required, just en
 thusiasm.\n\nTHE ONLY WAY this event can happen is if we get volunteer
 s. There is a lot of work in pulling ramps out and getting parts into 
 position. The more people we have, the faster it goes up and the more 
 time you will have skating it. It is not all about having building exp
 erience and using tools, there is a small job for everyone.   \n\n\n
